The Finalists

From over 500 recipes submitted we’re pleased to announce the final 3 in our search for the UK’s tastiest meat free dish! Moussaka by Robert Stordy, Butternut Squash and Spinach Lasagne by Susan Edwards and Hearty Mushroom, Ale and Puy Lentil Pie by Kate Ford – all delicious.

You’ll be able to see them on ITV from April 4th and vote for a winner online.

You’ve shared hundreds of delicious meat-free dish ideas – thank you!

We’re overwhelmed by the response we’ve had in our search for the UK’s tastiest meat-free dish. We have an exciting panel of judges who are getting ready to taste their way to three final meat-free dishes. The three finalists will then appear on ITV where the winner will be chosen by you, the public and their dish will be shared by millions when it launches as the new Linda McCartney product.

There’s still lots going on, you can still rate your favourite dishes and comment on the recipe ideas on our website and join in the conversations on Facebook and Twitter. And we’ll bring you all the latest updates here.

Don’t forget we’d still love to hear your recipe ideas, they won’t be entered into the search but they could appear here, on our website.

Judging Day

On Thursday 10th February, our 5 judges gathered around the Kitchen Table in London to taste their way through the shortlist of 10 dishes.

Forks were out and the debate was as hot as the delicious dishes on offer. Eventually however, the judges agreed on the 3 they considered the tastiest, to go through to the public ITV.com vote in April.

Sir Paul McCartney wants your recipe ideas!

Sir Paul McCartney invites you to get creative and get cooking. In our video he explains why he wants your recipe ideas and how you can join us in the search for the UK’s tastiest meat-free dish.

The closing date for entries is the 28th January 2011 and you can enter as many dishes as you like, we’d love to see them all!

vegemince™ wins Highly Commended in the 2010 Low-fat Food Awards!

We’re proud to announce that our vegemince™ has won another award, this time in the 2010 Low-Fat Food Awards. Awarded Highly Commended in the ‘Low-Fat Vegetarian Range’ category by Rosemary Conley Diet & Fitness Magazine, it proves healthy, low-fat vegetarian food can be tasty.

‘Best British Food’ Toad in the Hole

Cook Vegetarian! Magazine

A “true British classic” our Toad in the Hole has appeared in the ‘Best of British Food’ feature in November’s issue of Cook Vegetarian Magazine! They called it “rib-sticking comfort food” but also recognised how healthy we’d made it, being lower in saturated fat than an average batter pudding.
